Who We Are
About the Founder
President and Founder J. Louise McGinnis Barber, CPSM, has worked in the Design-Build Arena industry for over 30 years. Before starting MWS, Louise served as Vice President and Western Region Business Development Director and Principal of Science & Technology for a national full-service A/E firm specializing in the planning and design of technologically advanced facilities all over the world.
Prior to that, Louise served as Strategy and BP Lead for several architectural, engineering, and environmental firms.
For several years, Louise served as the Fund Development Director for WEAVE in Sacramento, where she followed her passion by helping develop programs for domestic violence awareness and creating corporate support programs and innovative funding streams. She also consulted with the California Partnership to End Domestic Violence in organizing their Long Beach Conference, program content, as well as identifying funding streams for regional chapters.
A long time resident of Sacramento, Louise moved to the Bay Area about 12 years ago and currently lives in Pacifica, CA. Her passions are networking (Connecting the Dots), public service, gender equality, education, and animals.
